Workshops & School Visits

Adrienne is available for a variety of workshops that meet your specific needs. An experienced teacher, she gave workshops on writing non-fiction books and articles for several years through Simon Fraser University’s Continuing Education program.

Adrienne also is available for school visits. Although presentations can be created to meet your school’s specific needs, her visits usually cover the following:

  • writing skills (brainstorming, outlines, drafts, self-editing)
  • research skills
  • techniques for writing non-fiction

Of course, Adrienne also reads from her books and new projects. Depending on the audience, she can include activities such as magic tricks (from her Lu and Clancy books), science experiments, and activities — such as how to make the perfect barred owl call — related to her series of wildlife books. Her experience as an interpreter and teacher ensures that audiences, even very young ones, are engaged and awake!

Please contact Adrienne for rates and further details.
